Establishment of Omar Ibn Al-Aziz School

Beita Municipality has completed the project of constructing Omar Ibn Al-Aziz Basic School for Girls with generous funding from the Japanese government and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, where the municipality donated the plot of land necessary for the establishment of the project. The building consists of four floors and includes additional facilities that include a kindergarten, forming a qualitative addition to the educational infrastructure in the town.

The construction of the school came in response to an urgent need in a highly populated area, where students had previously suffered from the difficulty of commuting to distant schools. Within the framework of the municipality’s keenness on students’ safety and ease of access, the municipality rehabilitated and paved the road opposite the school with full self-funding, reflecting its commitment to providing a safe and motivating educational environment. The school was also equipped with modern educational facilities that keep pace with educational standards, while taking into consideration the highest standards of safety and environment.

This project comes within the municipality’s vision to develop the educational process, in a manner that enhances its role in serving the local community and opening new horizons for international cooperation
