Operation of Beita Emergency Center and the Radiology Department
After great and continuous efforts exerted by Beita Municipality and its institutions, Beita Organization, and
the freed prisoners, and in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Health, under the exceptional and
difficult circumstances, Beita Municipality, through commendable efforts with the Palestinian Ministry of
Health represented by the Deputy Minister, the Director of Rafidia Hospital, and the Hospitals Administration
and with the support of the Governor of Nablus and the Nablus Governorate, has succeeded in operating the
Beita Emergency Center to receive patients around the clock, 24 hours a day, in addition to operating the
laboratory on a permanent basis, and the Radiology Department from eight o’clock in the morning until three
o’clock in the afternoon as a first phase. This commendable and appreciated step comes to serve our people in
Beita in particular, and south of Nablus, under the difficult conditions experienced by the Palestinian citizen as
a result of the closure of military checkpoints.
The first clinic at the Beita Emergency Center has also been operated, which is designated for pregnant women
and obstetrics, under the leadership of surgeon Dr. Mohammad Al-Kharraz, where it will be subject to the same laws and regulations applied at Rafidia Governmental Hospital,
and under the direct supervision of the hospital administration.
The center’s area exceeds 500 square meters distributed over two floors, and it contains:
- Four emergency beds for treatment
- A cardiac resuscitation device
- Two doctors’ clinics
- A specialized room for fractures and bones
